ABOUT KELVIN LI

Kelvin Li, an artist with a remarkable talent, creates captivating artworks that bring his subjects to life through expressive brush strokes and vibrant colors. A single glance at his pieces reveals their undeniable allure. His art adorns various items such as umbrellas, t-shirts, and tote bags, showcasing dogs, cats, elephants, flowers, and more with an explosion of vitality. Deeply passionate about wildlife conservation,Li, an ardent animal lover, employs his art as a powerful medium to raise awareness about the alarming rates of species extinction caused by human activities like deforestation and hunting.He focuses on majestic creatures such as eagles, orangutans, tigers, and others that face the threat of disappearing from our planet. Li's journey has been marked by personal challenges. Born autistic, he struggled with speech and writing until he was five and eight, respectively. His condition prevented him from attending primary school in China, leading his mother to homeschool him for two years. Determined to provide Kelvin with a proper education, his family decided to withdrawal from the business in China and relocate to Malaysia. It was during this time that Li's artistic talent began to emerge. His ability to mimic other artists' work with exceptional precision astounded his mother. She recognized his potential and connected him with an art teacher who fostered his skills. In2019, Kelvin's paintings of killer whales and turtles were printed on tote bags and sold as part of a fundraising project. The proceeds from this initiative were donated to various charities. This marked the first instance of Li's art being reproduced on products, but it certainly wouldn't be the last. He subsequently participated in NGO events and community fairs in Sarawak and later in the Klang Valley, showcasing his art to a broader audience. Li's supportive mother, who serves as the president of the Kuching Association of Talent Development and Welfare of Special Needs, organized an exhibition to showcase his work. Her unwavering dedication paved the way for the birth of the brand—byKelvinLi.
